The nearest place to swim on Lake Lanier is Keith Bridge Park, which has a sandy beach and a swim area roped off. It’s popular on weekends with families with children, but on weekdays you may find you have your own private beach. There are restrooms close to the beach.
The park also has many picnic tables with charcoal grills along a paved pathway that rings the forested peninsula the park is on, so it’s a great place for a family picnic or a shady walk with your dog. There are boat launch ramps with parking for about 20 trailers.
This park is run by the Army Corps of Engineers who manages Lake Lanier and there is a $5 per car fee you are asked to voluntarily pay when you drive in. Click to button to see the park on a Google Map.
